Loose Parts isn’t just the name of our press, it’s a play theory that promotes creativity through the use of open-ended materials. That’s what we envision for our new after-school activity starting in February 2025 on Tuesdays at RoseyRavelston Bookshop. Read more below!
TERM 3 IS NOW ENROLLING!
You might be more familiar with the concept of loose parts in early childhood, however, unstructured time and space to create is a rarity for primary school students, and still just as beneficial! We invite kids from Kindy up to Year 6 to join us each week where we’ll have a variety of materials available to create art, make up stories, or just simply play – without the pressure of expected results.
Sessions will be facilitated by Sharon Baldwin, author and publisher of Loose Parts Press, who also ran Sydney Creative Play for five years, taught Page to Stage drama classes in Lawson for two years and has run children’s workshops in schools and at events all around Australia and the US.
