Episode Description: Doctor Bluey is needed when Dad gets a very curious x-ray from Nurse Bingo. It seems he has a cat in his tummy, leaving Bluey no choice but to operate immediately!
ACTIVITIES:
- “Hospital” is already a pretty regular game in our pretend play rotation. But the addition of some X-rays can take it to the next level.
- Make a cardboard X-ray tablet
- Print out some x-ray photos – or draw your own
- Make an x-ray light box for extra fun
- Learn “All About Your Body” with SciShow Kids and then make a life-size human body with these printables and some butcher paper. Do just the bones, just the organs, or both! (If you want to go smaller scale these printable anatomy paper dolls are just $5.)
- For some easy hands-on science activities, teach your kids how your stomach digests food and then follow it up with measuring how long your small intestines are!
- Sing it with me, “The toe bone’s connected to the foot bone…” It’s a classic song to introduce the kids to. You can also learn a cool (though possibly slightly scary) skeleton dance. Or get those bodies moving with this Just Dance routine for Spooky Scary Skeletons.
- Need to work those fine motor muscles as well? Make up a batch of salt dough and create some salt dough bones.
