Episode Description: Bluey and Bingo want everyone to play Charades, but Muffin and Socks are too young to understand the rules and Nanna must think quickly to keep the game on track.
ACTIVITIES:
- Ice blocks!! If you make them in the morning they should be frozen by the end of the day, so why not start off with that. There are heaps of healthy recipes out there – in fact, they’re one of my favourite ways to sneak veggies into my kids. My go-to is pineapple, coconut milk, pak choy and mint – I call it a Greeña Colada.
- Is your game of charades getting a bit stale? Try some of these ideas to liven your game up:
- Disney character charades
- It might not be holiday time but try Christmas charades or Halloween charades
- Or why not make up your own Bluey charades??
- It’s also a great game that your kids could play via Skype/Zoom with a friend or grandparent.
- Time to bust out the dress-ups box and throw on your tutu. The kids can simply play “ballerinas” or put on a ballet show for you. Or…
- Take an online ballet class
- Play a game to learn ballet positions
- There are heaps of ballet performances on YouTube. The Nutcracker is always a nice intro for kids – or Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
- Read “Firebird” a story of my favourite ballerina Misty Copeland.
- Throwing in a little bit of science:
- Learn the physics of ballet
- Learn the muscles that allow ballet dancers to move the way the do
- Learn how a music box works
